Dear Sam, I will be forever grateful for all the opportunities you gave me in my journey in Haematology. Through your direction I have had the most enjoyable UK career, only possible because of the openings you helped to create . You even took on my hockey skills (until I managed to get a shot pass you and score a goal for the opposing team). From your jokes, to your poignant nicknames, to your professional approach at UCL, I will hold many memories close to me. ~Thinking of Jean, the children, and grandchildren.
